Middleton is ‘just down the road’ west of Star on Highway 44. Starting out in 1871 as a flour mill-town, she is the oldest settlement in Canyon County and named for her location midway between Boise and Keeney’s Ferry, two major landmarks for early settlers. With a population of just over 3,000 Middleton is experiencing a residential construction boom.
